Question :
We refer to a 'home' enjoying the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi ('Lakshmi Katãsha'). In reality in whose home does Mahalakshmi reside?
H.H. Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:
Our Shastras say that Lakshmi lives in a home -
- that serves the Sadhus,
- that leads a righteous life ('sadãcharã'),
- which is benevolent,
- where the floors are cleansed with cow dung,
- which has Tulasi plant, Bilwa tree,
- filled with Sumangalis,
- where lamp is lit at dusk,
- where people are humble ,
- where Nãma Sankirtana is performed,
- which echoes with the sound of the Vedas,
- where people are affectionate,
- which is bereft of quarrels, tears, commotion, hatred, anger and torment.
Therefore, all such homes are ones that are filled with 'Lakshmi Kataksha'.
